Our facilities offer a rare home-like environment.  The main building was a historic Victorian home built in the late 1800’s and for many years was our family residence.  A recent major renovation and expansion project doubled the size of the facility creating the community’s largest funeral home.  Located in a quiet, easy to access residential neighborhood, the parking areas have been expanded providing the largest parking area.  Entrances on the north side of the funeral home provide direct access to the funeral home — only inches away.

We were careful to keep the Victorian character including the original oak woodwork, fireplaces and refurbished and restored antique furnishings.

Our expansive gathering room incorporates unique features including a private family closet for family belongings to be placed during visitation and funerals, a studio grade sound system, built-in CCTV cameras for recording the funeral as a permanent keepsake, hide-away movable walls to create a more intimate setting, a WebCam to broadcast the funeral service live to friends and relatives unable to attend, and direct access to the chapel from the driveway — putting you only steps away from your vehicles and family seating.

The Private Family Retreat provides a welcome break to collect your thoughts, or reminisce with others. There is always hot coffee, refreshments and fresh baked Otis Spunkmeyer cookies waiting for you. Children can watch movies and enjoy the overflowing toy box while only steps away parents reminisce and share memories. We would like you to feel comfortable when receiving friends and family at the time of loss. Our home is yours. Our staff will ensure that your family and friends are treated with the hospitality that you would extend in a less difficult and emotional time in your own home.

Family members in the Family Retreat can also view the Gathering Room via closed circuit TV during visitation or funeral services.

Two beautiful new wheelchair accessible restrooms and a baby diaper changing station have been added for your convenience.

During our recent renovation and expansion, a state-of the art preparation room was installed to provide the most modern and efficient facility in the Wabash Valley for embalming and restorative surgery.

This special surgical room provides space and equipment for safe and efficient preparation of the body for visitation and funeral services. When not occupied or in use, it is always ready and open for your inspection.

Webcasting/digital video room c/photo
Think of this room as our “control room” – a special behind the scenes area designed specifically for the control and management of music, digital video projection, digital recording, and webcasting of the funeral service. This area also serves as a staging area for clergy, speakers and musicians.
