Charles "Dale" Jones

Charles “Dale” Jones, 85, passed away Monday February 6, 2017 at his home in Brazil. He was born on September 25, 1931 in Clay County, Indiana to the late Charles Jones, Jr. and Edna (Meyers) Jones. Dale attended Van Buren High School, and married Jo Ann Phillips on December 31, 1949. He worked for Jenkins Poultry, and purchased the store in 1969 and changed the name to Dale’s Poultry. Dale and Jo Ann ran the grocery until they retired in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, gardening, working on vehicles, woodworking and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Dale Jones, and five sisters; Margarite Raybould, Mary Bell Harrison, Bea Zimmerman, Charlotte Hoffman, Thelma Schepper.

Special Nephew: Robbie (Jaymee) Phillips, Brazil, Indiana

Daughter-in-Law: Doreen Jones, Texas

Sisters: Sarah (Jim) Bucklin, Brazil, Indiana

Kaye (Larry) Hobson, Monrovia, Indiana

A celebration of life will be held 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday February 10, 2017 at the Harmony Community Center. Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Dale’s cremation arrangements.
