David A. McFaddin

Carbon, Indiana

David A. McFaddin, 87, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 at his home. He was born in Clinton, Indiana on October 26, 1930 to the late Howard and Emily (Ball) McFaddin. Dave graduated from Rockville High School, served his country in the United States Air Force, and attended Indiana University , and earned his bachelors degree from Monmouth College. He worked for Exxon in the oil fields before returning to Rockville. He was a Licensed Geologist, and retired as the advertising manager of the Brazil Times. David attended Carbon Methodist Church.

He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, as well as the Eastern Star. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and collecting antiques. Dave was preceded in death by his brother, Donald McFaddin, and his grandson Levi Hood.

    Daughter:    Emilie McFaddin, West Terre Haute, Indiana

    Nephew:    David W. (Karen) McFaddin, Yorktown, Virginia

    Faithful Companion:    Andy

    Eleven Grandchildren

    Five Great-Grandchildren

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carbon Methodist Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
