Donald "Mark" Anderson was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 24, 2017. Mark fought and overcame many challenges in his life, including four bouts of cancer, with him finally succumbing to the disease at the age of 71. Mark was born in Brazil, Indiana on February 28, 1945 to the late David and Mary (Garrigus) Anderson. He graduated from Brazil High School in 1962, and earned his Bachelors Degree from Purdue University in 1967. While facing his own challenges, be it personal or medical, he never once complained or put himself first. Family always came first to Mark. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life, with them having the utmost love and admiration in return. At a time when most would have given up, Mark stayed focused on supporting his family and through his strong faith, ingenuity, and entrepreneurial skills, created a successful telemarketing business, Rosewood Productions, raising funds for police and fire departments for programs supporting the community and helping those in need. He spent countless hours in a car traveling across the country promoting the family business. His faith and success were a source of generosity for Mark with philanthropy bringing him great joy. Mark served as a volunteer with New Hope Prison Ministries for several years helping guiding prisoners to the Lord. He helped at Putnamville & FCIC facility in Terre Haute, acting as a missionary to the inmates. He was the happiest when he was doing the Lord's work. Many enjoyed his robust singing voice with him singing in the church choir and providing his children and grandchildren with many fond memories, singing songs such as "You Are My Sunshine” and "Jesus Loves You”.

Mark leaves behind his beloved wife of 35 years, Sharon, son Eric Anderson (Theresa), and daughters, Jennifer Boerner (Steve Murrell), Amanda Bennett (Matthew), and Elizabeth Anderson; 12 grandchildren, Cody, Allie (Jeremy), Macenze, Caden, Emma, Cameron, Avery, Mason, Dawn, Ike, Aubrey and Isabella; and four great grandchildren, Sophie, Gabriel, Jade, and Julian. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Francis Anderson; and niece, Barbara (Tim) Edler. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Phillip Anderson; brother, Richard Anderson; niece, Sally Hamilton; Nephews, Scott and Lance Anderson.

A public visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating and burial to follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
