Harold Wayne Boyce, 89, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at his home in Terre Haute. He was born in Clay County, Indiana on December 7, 1928 to the late William and Lona (Fishaber) Boyce. Harold graduated from Brazil High School in 1947, and later married Ruth McLain on March 3, 1951. He served his country in the United States Army, and retired from Tredegar after 38 years as a machine operator.

 

Harold loved being outdoors, fishing, hunting, picking mushrooms and working in his yard and garden. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Harold Hassler. 

 

Survivors Include:

 

    Wife of 66 years:     Ruth Boyce, Terre Haute, Indiana

 

    Daughter:    Denise (Chris) Jacobsen, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

 

 

    Sons:    Duane (Lisa) Boyce, Terre Haute, Indiana

        Dean (Lisa) Boyce, Wylie, Texas

 

    Sister:        Betty Hassler, South Carolina

 

    Grandchildren:    Amber (Brad) Bush

                Alicia (Jake) Duncan

                Ashley (Eric) Sullivan

                Shane (Andrea) Boyce

                Aaron Jacobsen

                Magen (Travis) Kostenko

                Amy (Tylr) Romano

 

    Great-Grandchildren:    Addison Bush, Aiden Bush, Keeley Dodson, Karson Kostenko,                     Caleb Sullivan, Kenzlee Kostenko, Rosalia Romano

 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday December 13, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Brad Bush officiating and burial with military honors to follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
