John Miles Moss, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Exceptional Living Center in Brazil. He was born on February 26, 1927 in Ashboro, Indiana to the late Roy P. Moss and Mae E. (Miles) Moss. John graduated from Ashboro High School in 1945, and earned his Batchelor Degree from Indiana Teachers College. He served his country in the United States Army, and later married Norma (Goodall) Moss in 1978. John taught Math at Southport High School for several years, and retired from Eli Lilly after almost 30 years of service. He enjoyed playing golf, and was the Horseshoe Cove Horseshoe Champion while wintering in Florida. Mr. Moss was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Moss, and his former wife, Rosalie (Medlock) Moss.

Pamela Moss, Ashboro, Indiana

Sister: Pauline (Aron) Royer, Brazil, Indiana

Great Grandchildren: Trey Akers, Jonathan Zion Ferguson, Alexis Rose Ferguson

Companion: Mary Alice Lowdermilk

A celebration of John’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil, with Pastor Bob Kumpf officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at Moss Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Sunday, from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashboro United Methodist Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
