Michael Smith Tickner

Michael Smith Tickner, 59, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 surrounded by his family.  He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 11th, 1958 to Richard Tickner and Patricia Lindsey Tomes.  He graduated from Ivy Tech and served his country for 23 years in the United States Navy and then the Army National Guard.  Michael also worked as a computer technician and bus driver with the Monroe County School Corporation.  In 2000 he was married to his wife and partner Pamela Mattix Tickner.

He enjoyed playing darts and cards and also liked to be outdoors as often as he could.  Most importantly he was a constant devoted caretaker for his wife.  Micheal was preceded in death by his father and Step-Mother Carolynn Tickner.

He is also survived by five grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 28th at 6:00 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil.  The family will accept friends for visitation on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service.
