Sedonia Rose Kreilein Lancaster, 60, peacefully passed away on April 11, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on December 7, 1956 to the late John Davis “JD” Kreilein and Carolyn Sue Osmon Kreilein. Sedonia graduated from Terre Haute North Vigo High School in 1975. On February 24, 1979 Sedonia married Jerry D. Lancaster. She spent most of her life taking care of the elderly in a long term setting. In 1990, Sedonia decided to attend Ivy Tech’s School of Nursing, earning her LPN in 1991. She continued working with the elderly until 2000, when a stroke forced her to leave the profession she loved.

Sedonia was preceded in death by her sister, Janet M. Ross; her grandparents; father-in-law, Freddie D. Lancaster; and several aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry D. Lancaster; daughter, Kimberly D. Lancaster (Fiance, David Mangus) of Coatsville, Indiana; son, Jerry C. Lancaster of Brazil, Indiana; brother, John “Johnnie” (Lisa) Kreilein of Brazil, Indiana; sister, Roberta S. “Bobbi” Schwanke of Michigan City, Indiana; uncle William “Bill” (Sedonya) Osmon of Terre Haute, Indiana; mother-in-law, Margaret R. Lancaster of Brazil, Indiana; granddaughters, Kyann Wasson, Bristol Mangus and Johannah Lancaster; best friend of over 25 years, Sandra Abrams of Brazil, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Sedonia will be laid to rest at Clear Run Cemetery in Bridgeton on June 27, 2017. Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
