Barbara Jean (Campbell) Deakins

Barbara Jean Deakins, 90, passed away, Saturday, November 28, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Brazil, Indiana on August 30, 1930 to the late Enes and Beaulah (Van Hook) Campbell. Barbara graduated from Brazil High School in 1949, and married Robert Deakins on January 26, 1952. 

Her family was the light of her life, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her free time she enjoyed reading, and working crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Shattuck and Mary Reinoehl.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Deakins; daughter, Michele (Fred) Paris; sons, Mark (Sandra) Deakins, Jeff (Lisa) Deakins, and Brian Deakins; grandchildren, Christina Deakins, Tiffany (Ryan) Venturi, Casey Deakins, Ashley (Ian) Heffner, Ryan (Michelle) Deakins and Preston (Lauren) Deakins; and great-grandchildren, Tia Jones, Amaya Jones, Eva Deakins, Dansby Venturi, Paul Deakins, Emry Deakins, and Eden Heffner.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Brazil with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating, this event will be live streamed on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
