Robert Reisinger Obituary

Robert Lee Reisinger, 82 passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Clay County, Indiana on August 7, 1941 to the late Robert and Maxine (Vanatti) Reisinger. Bob attended Brazil High School and married the love of his life Judy. In his early years he worked at Townsend Tree Service, he later served as a Clay County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy and retired from GTE. Robert was a member of the Indiana Civil Defense.

In his free time he enjoyed hunting raccoons and mushrooms, attending car shows, watching the races at Putnamville and watching NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; brother, Bill Reisinger; brother-in-law, Allen Starr; sister-in-law, Nancy Manley; and two grandsons, Brandon and Jeffrey Robbins.

Survivors include his daughter Candie (Jim Vanzo) Robbins of Reelsville; sons, William “B.J.” Reisinger of Brazil, and Robert (Alicia) Reisinger of Florida; brother, Charles (Mary) Reisinger; sisters, Marie Starr and Myra (Gale) Snow; granddaughter, Lori Ann Robbins, Amanda Reisinger and Elijah Reisinger; Sister-in-laws, Pam (Terry Kendall); Jeanette (Mike Summitt); several great-grandchildren; special friend, Vickie Tanner who kept him well fed; and his nurses, Chandra and Stephanie; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with his cremation arrangements. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County Humane Society.
