Merchandise
For traditional burial services you will need to select and purchase a casket and an outer burial container (vault).  For cremation services you will select a permanent container for the cremated remains.    For those families choosing to have a visitation/funeral service prior to cremation we offer the use of a ceremonial casket, eliminating the need to purchase a casket.

You will be asked to select printed materials – guest register book, memorial folders, etc.  We will show you different designs for you to select from.   You will also be asked if you want the funeral home to order family flowers (casket spray and/or lid piece).

All caskets and merchandise are priced separately – meaning the price you see for the casket is for the casket itself with no other items included.

We are proud to be the funeral home in our community to utilize local, Clay County casket and vault suppliers.

Payment Policy

The Moore Funeral Home is a small, family owned business like many others in our community. Of necessity we operate on a cash basis and are totally dependent upon the families we serve for prompt payment. We do not have the financial resources to extend credit or to fulfill the functions of a bank or lending institution.

Cash Advance Charges — Cash Advance charges represent a cash outlay. We realize no profit on these items, nor do we wish to do so. We require payment from the family for such cash advance charges at the time funeral arrangements are made.

Cash Advance examples: Grave opening/closing – Certified copies of death certificate – Monument inscriptions – Clergy/Officiant honorariums – Organist/Musician honorariums – Newspaper obituaries – Air Cargo fees – Flowers

We offer these convenient payment options for the services and merchandise you select:

1. Cash in full, on or before the time the service begins

2. Cashier’s Check in full before the time the service begins

3. Valid Personal Check in full on or before the time the service begins

4. Credit Card

5. Insurance Assignment – We will honor an insurance assignment for the services and merchandise, but not for cash advance items. — In the case where insurance proceeds will be used for payment of funeral expenses, we require the responsible parties to complete and sign all insurance assignment forms by 1:00 p.m. on the day of visitation.

6. Prepaid Funeral Trust – If services have been prearranged and fully funded and no additional services or merchandise is requested, no payment is expected. Note that if the funding insurance company fails to pay because of underwriting violation/restrictions, the contract balance is due according to other payment options.

Estates
We do not bill/invoice estates. The settlement of estates frequently takes months; sometimes years. We are not in a position to await payment over such extended periods. We expect that a family member to pay funeral expenses and file their claim for reimbursement with the decedent’s estate.
