Life Legacy
Betty Ann Barnett, age 81 of Brazil, IN died Friday morning, June 15, 2012 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville, IN.
She was born September 2, 1930 in Harmony, IN as the daughter of Archie and Norma Elliott Hillman. She graduated from Brazil High School. She married Joseph F. Barnett. She had been employed as the head cook at Jackson Twp. Elementary School. She had also worked a few years at Sony in Terre Haute and as Executive Housekeeper at the Days Inn Hotel. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and had attended the United Methodist Church of Center Point for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Barnett in 1983; and daughter, Kay Crabb.
She is survived by two sons, David F. Barnett (Carol) of Colorado Springs, CO and Joseph “Mike” Barnett (Deborah) of Rockville; daughter, Jane Crowley (Gene) of Center Point, IN; grandchildren, Stacie Jeffries (Brent), Stephanie Barnett, Anne Marie Barnett, Lisa May Barnett, Brandon Crowley, Brooklyn Crowley, Sarah Crabb, Austin Wheeler, and Justin J. Barnett; great grandchildren, Dylan N. Barnett and Max Michael Jeffries; sister, Barbara Davis of Amo, IN; and other extended family.
Moore Funeral Home was chosen to provide cremation services. A private graveside memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 115 W. Washington St., Ste 1180-S, Indianapolis IN 46204.
