Biography

Frederick Leon Adamson, age 89 of Brazil, IN died Tuesday evening, June 26, 2012 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil.

He was born December 8, 1922 in Lena, Indiana as the son of Phil H. and Reba LaRue Adamson. He graduated from Bridgeton High School. He married Marjorie Mercer October 20, 1942. Fred was owner and operator of Adamson laundry and dry cleaning business. He was a member of the Carbon Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge FA&M 529, and the Brazil Rotary Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Landes; and brother-in-law, Albert Landes.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son, Mark D. Adamson (Connie) of Brazil; daughter, Lisa M. Caldwell (Kevin) of Terre Haute; grandson, Ethan F. Caldwell of Terre Haute; granddaughters, Olivia K. Caldwell and Lily M. Caldwell, both of Terre Haute; 3 step grandchildren; and other extended family.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, June 30th at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday with Perry Major officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rotary Foundation PolioPlus Fund, One Rotary Center, 1560 Sherman Ave., Evanston IL 60201-3698.
