Life Legacy
Bernard Warren James, age 79 of Brazil died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Exceptional Living Center in Brazil, IN.
He was born September 23, 1932 in Brazil, IN as the son of Warren and Laura Williams James. He graduated from Brazil High School with the Class of 1950. He married Martha Gainey January 3, 1951. He was owner and manager of new car dealerships for over 50 years. His dealerships were in Clay City, Rockville, and Brazil. He also worked as general manager for Dale Warnick Chevrolet in Rockville.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Knightsville, an active member of the Brazil Rotary Club, and he had served on the Clay Community Schools Building Trades Program board for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; son, Ron James and his wife Jean Ann of Franklin, IN; step grandchildren, Mark (Kelli) Jones and Brad (Melissa) Jones; step great grandchildren, Devin, Brice, Logan, Trey, and Tyler Jones; step great-great grandchild, Landon Jones; sister-in-law, Virginia Mathis; nephew, Eric Mathis (Nancy); and other extended family.
Visitation will be 4 – 8 p.m. Sunday, July 29th at Moore Funeral Home. A Masonic Memorial Service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Price officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
