Barbara (Winkler) Gallez

Brazil, Indiana

Barbara Gallez, 89, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at Exceptional Living Center in Brazil. She was born in Brazil on December 25, 1928 to the late Anthony and Fern (Graves) Winkler. Barb graduated from Brazil High School in 1946, and later married Joel Gallez. She worked at Annunciation Catholic Church in the cafeteria before moving to Florida and working in a garden center and a jewelry store. Barbara had a green thumb, and loved gardening. In her free time she enjoyed sports, sewing, shopping, and spending time with her friends, family and pets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel; daughter, Christy Ann Gallez, and her brother, Donald Joseph Winkler.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Steve Blaydes officiating. The family will accept friends from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County Humane Society.
