Barbara Moss

Barbara Ann Moss, 75, Brazil, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ May 15, 2011.

She was born Dec. 31, 1935, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Roscoe and Mary (Brown) Huffman.

Barbara diligently worked beside her husband to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ for many years. She served as a pastor's wife, a mentor, and a bible instructor. She actively participated in many of the local churches, which included Martz Community Church, Grace Chapel and Christ Community.

Barbara worked as a legal secretary for Branam and Williams in Terre Haute. She also worked as a nurse aid for several years at MacAnn Manor.

Barbara married James V. Moss Jan. 15, 1953, and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother Jack Huffman Sr., sister and brother-in-law Irene and Darrell Schamihorn, daughter-in-law Julie Moss and son-in-law Paul Bailey.

Survivors include her son Vernon DeWayne Moss and his fiance Anita Rehmel, Shelburn, daughter Deborah L. Bailey, Brazil, daughter and son-in-law Diana D. and Terry J. Walden, Clay City, adopted daughter and son-in-law Lorraine C. (Brown) Maesch and Danny K. Maesch, Brazil, beloved friend and standard bearer Michael A. Call, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a large extended family.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 1 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home, 142 N. Washington St., Brazil, with Pastor Gary Minor officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home Tuesday, and one hour prior to services Wednesday.

Memorial donations may be made to the Martz Community Church in her name.
