Byron Millard Halfhill

Byron Millard Halfhill, 82, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute following an accident at home. He was born in Bowling Green, Indiana on February 10, 1935 to the late Carl and Florence (Greenwood) Halfhill. Byron graduated from Bowling Green High School and served his country in the United States Army. He married Florence Dickison on August 12, 1961, they were members of the Community Missionary Church. Mr. Halfhill retired from IBM after 31 years of service. 

Byron was a member of the the Masonic Lodge, and loved spending time with family and friends. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, mowing grass, hunting, fishing, watching cowboy shows, as well as watching and playing basketball. He was preceded in death by his son, Byron Halfhill, Jr; brothers, Donald “Max” Halfhill, Gene Halfhill, Ovid “Dub” Halfhill; sister, Berly Ruth Morand.

            Linda Schiele, Bowling Green, Indiana

            Carlene (Eddie) Dickison, Brazil, Indiana

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday December 30, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating and burial with military honors to follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Friday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Missionary Church Missions, envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
