Eva Smith

Eva Armina Smith, age 71, formerly of Brazil, IN died March 28, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV.

She was born May 27, 1939 in Brazil, IN as the daughter of Ansil and Alberta Ehrlich Harpold. While she attended Brazil High School she was active in the school band. She married Harry Denver Smith December 31,1955. She was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Hazelcrest, IL where she played the organ and while living in Brazil she attended the Otter Creek Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry; and infant daughter, Tammy.

She is survived by daughters, Penny Slattery (Michael) of Las Vegas and Pam Johnson (Chris) of Brazil; son, Denver Kenneth Smith (Satin) of Clinton; grandsons, Michael Slattery (Trish) of Las Vegas and Cody Johnson of Brazil; great grandsons, Michael John Slattery and Daniel Slattery of Las Vegas; granddaughter, Emily of Clinton; sister, Marilyn Tucker (Rex) of Brazil; brothers, Marion Harpold (Gail) of Carmel, IN, Bob Harpold (Rita) of Shelton, WA, Ansil Harpold (Donna) of Clinton, and Jim Harpold (Carol) of Wisconsin; and other extended family.

She loved and enjoyed her family and spending time with them. She also loved watching her grandson, Cody play soccer and listening to grandson Mike play and sing in his band. She also enjoyed babysitting and playing games with her great grandsons.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9th at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Ansil Harpold officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
