Brazil, Indiana

Floyd W. Huffman, 93, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019 at Westminster Village in Terre Haute. He was born on February 7, 1926 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Raymond and Dorothy (Howard) Huffman. Floyd attended school in Vigo County, and joined the National Guard when he was drafted at the age of 18. He married Barbara Etheridge on October 14, 1950. Floyd retired from International Harvester in 1988 after 48 years of service.

He and Barbara were members of the North Union United Methodist Church. Floyd was a trustee of the church for many years, served as a Sunday School teacher, and with the help of Barbara they cared for the church house. Though they never had any children of their own, Floyd and Barbara helped raise a church full of children. 

In his free time Floyd enjoyed singing, and playing the guitar. He loved to hunt and was quite the gun enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his wife, and sisters, Gladys Whitchurch and Lucille Galbraith.

    Brothers:    Henry Huffman

            Bill (Vonnie) Huffman

    Sisters:    Betty Butts

            Beverly Yates

    Several Nieces, Nephews, and other extended family

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday March 14, 2019 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor David Felstein officiating and burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service.
