Herschel Leon Godsey, 59, passed away Sunday May 19, 2019 after an extended illness. He was born on April 26, 1960 to David and Dorothy (Clegg) Godsey. Herschel attended Brazil High School and served his country in the Indiana National Guard. He worked for Wal-Mart Distribution, Liberty Environmental, and the City of Brazil. Herschel married Tina Winn on February 25, 1984. He enjoyed driving his golf cart, gardening, camping, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his father, and his son, David Leon Godsey.

Wife of 35 years: Tina Godsey, Brazil, Indiana

Daughters: Amanda (Timothy) Modesitt, Brazil, Indiana

Candace Godsey, Brazil, Indiana

Brother: Allen (Cindy) Godsey, Brazil, Indiana

Sisters: Brenda (Jim) Brickey, South Dakota

Lisa (David) Crafton, Center Point, Indiana

Grandchildren: Taylor, Jaydon, Karma, Jesse, Nicki, Chloe, Zoe, Braiden, and Gunner

Several Nieces, Nephews, and other extended family

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Herschel’s cremation arrangements. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
