Georgetown, Indiana

Larry Whistler, 72, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 in Floyd County, Indiana. He was born in Clay County on October 11, 1945 the son of Don and Lena (Hayes) Whistler. Larry graduated from Brazil High School in 1963, and served his country in the United States Army. He retired as a supervisor for Allison Transmission.

Larry loved to travel, and work crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed gardening, working on his computer and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; his son, David Whistler, and his brother Ron Whistler Sr.

Wife: Kim Whistler

Daughters: Erin Whistler

Nikki (Ethan) Bartanen

Sisters: Patricia Whistler

Sandra Abrams

Grandchildren: Mia, Miles, Brianna, Mathew, and Austin

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday October 14, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Jason Weir officiating, and military honors to follow. The family will accept friends for visitation on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
