Mary Lucinda Farris, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday March 4, 2018 at her home. She was born in Clinton, Indiana on Christmas day in 1925 to the late Daniel and Lucinda (Hickman) Hipkiss. Mary graduated from Clinton High School in 1943, and married Thomas Farris in 1945.
She worked at Columbia Records, and as a Admissions Secretary at Indiana State University. Mary Lou was a devoted member of the Otter Creek Christian Church, and loved attending all the events her grandchildren were involved with. She enjoyed cooking, square dancing, and sewing.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, William, Chuck, and James Hipkiss and her sisters, Juanita Gedrick, Thelma Chapman, and Emma Simpson.

Several Nieces, Nephews and other extended family
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Steve Brattain officiating and burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute. The family will accept friends for visitation on Friday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Otter Creek Christian Church.
