Steven Allen Pickett

Steven Allen Pickett, 39, passed away Saturday October 13, 2018. He was born in Bartholomew County, Indiana on July 17, 1979 to Gary Pickett and Gail Cody Wall. Steve graduated from Edinburgh High School in 1997, and worked as the maintenance supervisor for Republic Services. He married Hannah Schopmeyer on July 7, 2007, they attended Zion United Church of Christ.

Steve loved spending time with his family. In his free time he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. Being a diesel mechanic by trade, he also enjoyed working on vehicles. He also mentored 2 children like they were his own, Sarah and Rachel Swank. Steve was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elvin and Clara Pickett as well as his maternal grandparents, George and Margie Cody.

            Donovan (Misty) Pickett, Edinburgh, Indiana

Sisters:    Erin (Jason) Chelf, Columbus, Indiana

Several special aunts, uncles and other extended family

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Steve’s cremation arrangements.  A celebration of his life will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday October 20, 2018at Zion United Church of Christ in Poland. The family will accept friends for visitation on Saturday from 2:00-4:00 P.M. at the church.
