Wilma Roberta Boyd Clarner, 95, passed away peacefully at her home on October 21, 2017. She was born in Clay City, Indiana on June 12, 1922 to the late Ernest William and Viola Grace (Johnson) Neiswinger. Wilma graduated from Clay City High School in 1940 and shortly after the school of cosmetology.  She owned Bobbi Pin Beauty Shop and was in the same profession for over 50 years. Wilma attended church all her life, and spent many years as a member of Community Missionary Church. Wilma currently was a member of the Brazil Bible Fellowship Church, where she greatly enjoyed the church services, activities and fellowship. She treasured her time spent with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, friends and her little Chihuahua Tina. Wilma was an avid reader, fitness guru at Brazil Curves, and the Brazil YMCA. To honor her father and brothers she retained membership with the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. 

 

Mrs. Clarner was preceded in death by her husband Frank Clarner; brothers, Ernest, Donald and Mearl Neiswinger and her beloved eight year old son, Terry Wayne Arnold.

 

Wilma was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving her are three children; son, Gerry (Bonnie)  Schultz, daughters, Diane Ross and Janyne “Jan” (Jeff Allen) Merritt, all of Brazil; a brother, Marvin (Karon) Neiswinger of Clay City. Six grandchildren, G. Kevin Schultz, Terri “Kim” (Dennis Slater) Sears, Mark Schultz,  Mendy (Shane) Litz, Caesia (Andrew) Haltom, and Caleena Myers. Six Great-Grandchildren, Garren Schultz, twins, Andrew and Ashton Schultz, Maeci Litz, Anden Litz and Camden Haltom. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brazil Bible Fellowship Church (6645 N. State Road 59, Brazil, Indiana) envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
