Billy A. Brown, 84, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute with his family by his side. He was born in Joplin, Missouri on December 1, 1934 to the late Nolan and Sylvia (Wiggins) Brown. Billy graduated from Joplin High School in 1953 and attended college at Joplin Junior College and Kansas State College. He served his country in the United States Army and went on to marry Mary Ann Elliott on August 12, 1956 , they moved to Brazil in 1967. Billy retired from Energetic Solutions formerly Atlas Powder Co. in 1997. As a lifelong christian, church was a major part of his life, he was a very active member of the Staunton First Christian Church.
After retirement Billy enjoyed woodworking, boating, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Brown of California.

Several Nieces, Nephews, and other extended family
A celebration of Billy’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Staunton First Christian Church (108 W. Columbus St. Staunton, Indiana 47834) with Pastor Mark Miller officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. A private burial will be held at Ozark Memorial Cemetery in Joplin, Missouri. Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Billy’s Cremation arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the the Staunton First Christian Church or the Herald of His Coming (P.O. Box 279, Seelyville Indiana 47878), envelopes will be available at the church.
