On June 20, 2025 Billy Ray Kaelber of Brazil, IN unexpectedly passed away at the age of 62 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.

Billy R. was born to John Robert “Bob” and Bonnie Jean (Stevens) Kaelber April 12, 1963 in Brazil, IN. Billy R. married Patricia J. Bixler on May 28, 1983. He worked at Great Dane Trailers in Brazil Indiana for 42 years (1982-2025). He was an extremely devoted family man. No matter how tired he was, he made stuff happen. He enjoyed traveling, and tinkering in the garage, and loved riding his motorcycle.

Billy R. will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Patricia; his children Jeremy (Angel) Kaelber, Amber (Alvin) Mattox, Billy J. (Alaina) Kaelber, and Yawnie Atkins; his grandchildren Jeremiah and Anna Mattox, John, Lilly, Emily, Dove and Kaylee Kaelber; and his sisters Roberta Kaelber and Margaret (Jimmy) Batchelor; as well as other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Robert “Bob” and Bonnie Jean, and siblings Andrew “Andy”, John Robert, and Marjorie Kaelber.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Billy R. On July 5, 2025 at 1pm at the Staunton Community Center (103 E. Columbus St. Staunton, IN 47881). This will be a pitch-in lunch. Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Billy’s cremation arrangements.
