Bonnie Dickerson, 97, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on September 3, 1927 in Terre Haute, Indiana to the late Herbert and Zelphia (Baker) Lawrence. Bonnie graduated from Staunton High School in 1945, and later married Max Dickerson. She worked as a book keeper for Motor Freight and Modern Welding.
Bonnie was a member of the North Union United Methodist Church, where she played organ for many years. She enjoyed cooking and serving people, gardening, and spending time with family. Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Gard and second husband, Max; and her brothers, Larry and Ralph Lawrence; and her sister, Juanita Myers.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and her caregivers/friends, Marian Burns, Joyce Phillips, and Lisa White.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 1, 2025 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Dave Felstein officiating and burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
