Bud Richard Yocom, 77, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his home. He was born in Gary, Indiana on January 13, 1943 to the late Marion and Ruth (Martin) Yocom. Bud graduated from Brazil High School in 1962, and married Elizabeth Stewart on January 18, 1964. He spent most of his life driving a semi for various companies including, Riddle Cartage, Yocom Trucking, Underwood Trucking, Morris Trucking, as well as Brazil Trucking. After retirement, he continued to work for the Tribune Star. Bud was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, watching football, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth, son-in-law, Jay Swalley; step-mother, Trena Yocom and two grandsons, Ryan and JT Yocom.
He is survived by his sons, Jon Yocom of Staunton, Anthony (Robin) Yocom of Brazil, and Lance Yocom of Brazil; daughters, Julie Yocom of Terre Haute, and Heather Swalley of Brazil; step-brother, Gary Delph; grandchildren, Justin Yocom, Elizabeth (Nick Kutch) Huey, John (Emily) Maesch, Cami Yocom, Jesse Yocom, Brett (Nakisha) Yocom, Danni (Austin) Brown, Bradly (Cassy) Wallace, and Annalee Critchfield; great-grandchildren, Justina Yocom, Luke Allbrook, Cole Huey, Mia Kutch, Chloe Kutch, Tristan Kutch, Landon Maesch, Makenna Maesch, Acelynn Yocom, and Aubrey Yocom.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Clearview Cemetery in Brazil with Dan Wallace officiating.
