Carl Houston Key, 79, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville, Indiana. He was born on July 5, 1942 in Celina, Tennessee to the late Jimmy and Gladdis (Adams) Key. Carl graduated from Celina High School in the class of 1960, and later married Freeda Smith on November 23, 1977. He worked as a metal finisher at General Motors for 33 years before retiring. In his free time, Carl enjoyed anything outdoors. He loved fishing, coon hunting, riding horses, and attending auctions.
Carl is preceded in death by his sons, Carl Douglas Key and David Shane Key; grandson, Wyatt Carrender; brother, Lyle Key. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Freeda Key; daughter, Debbie (Paul) Fox; son, David Carrender; grandchildren, David, Justin, Kourtney, Daniel, Rachel, Audree; 17 great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family members and friends.
Moore Funeral Home in Brazil has been entrusted with Carl’s cremation arrangements.
