Carol (Cooke) Liberty Obituary

Carol Liberty, 87, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at her home in Brazil. She was born on September 22, 1934 in Indianapolis to the late Clement and Lavonna (Taylor) Cooke. Carol graduated from East Glen High School in 1952, and worked as a forklift operator at Bemis for over 20 years. In her free time, Carol enjoyed playing the keyboard, reading, and working puzzles. 

Carol is preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Turner, Donald Cooke; sister, Beverly Turner; and grandson, Cameron Cesinger. Survivors include her sons, James (Elsie) Rowe of Brazil, David Rowe of Seelyville; daughters, Lainey Kessing of Brazil, Cathy Rowe of Brazil; grandchildren, Mikki Jones, Corey Rowe, Cambria (Eddie) Perez, Cordia (Lars) Mikkleson, Erin Rowe, Tiana (Robbie) Canavan; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 12, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Rich Laskowski officiating. Burial will follow at Baptist Moses Cemetery in Terre Haute. The family will accept friends for visitation on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
