Carolyn Tausig Obituary

Carolyn Eder Tausig, age 90, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at the Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility in Knightsville, Indiana.

She was born on August 31, 1931 in Clay County to the late Albert and Lena (Noleting) Eder. She was married to the late Carl Tausig and is survived by a son, Steve Tausig of Clay County and a brother, Jerry (Francis) of Frankfort, Indiana. Also survived by a niece and nephew, Rev. Steve and Jennifer Walker of LaPorte, Indiana and many cousins.

Carolyn graduated from Staunton High School and went on to receive a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Indiana State University. She taught elementary school in Illinois and Indiana/Clay County for over 30 years.

Carolyn was a member of the Staunton Christian Church and was active with the Staunton High School Alumni, Clay County Home Economics organizations, the ADK Sorority, as well as serving as a Democratic Council Precinct Committee Member.

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Carolyn’s cremation arrangements, she will be buried in Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Staunton Christian Church or the Staunton High School Scholarship Fund.
