Cheryl Field, 69, passed away on January 12, 2026 while staying at Cloverleaf Nursing Home in Knightsville. She was born in Terre Haute Indiana on March 14, 1956, and raised the daughter of Dewey and Geneva Blackwell. Cheryl attended Terre Haute North High School and worked for several places locally including, Brinks Security, Leon Bryant, and other nursing facilities. She was a member of the Tree of Life Church in Brazil.

Cheryl loved her church and church family, and rarely missed a service. She loved to sing, and write music. Cheryl enjoyed traveling with her husband Michael and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her birth parents, Robert and Beverly; husband, Michael Field; brother, Bobby Fuqua, Jr.; and her sister, Lori Cuffle.

Survivors include her parents, Dewey and Geneva Blackwell; daughter, Crystal Steadman; step-sons, Colton Field and Steven Field; brothers, Mitch Fuqua, Greg Fuqua, Mark Blackwell; sisters, Debbie Hubbs, Sonnie Wiram, Lisa Smith, Pam Curts, Cindy Beikman, and Lisa Stewart; grandchildren, Callie (Austin) Sawyer, Dallas Steadman, and Natalia Perez; great-grandchildren, Vincent Sawyer, Emma Clark, and Annastyn Clark; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on February 28, 2026 at the Harmony Community Center. Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
