Obituary
Danny Thomas, 77, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on January 10, 1945 in Terre Haute to the late William and Catherine (Bowen) Thomas. Danny graduated from Staunton High School in 1963, and served in the United States Army from 1967-1968 during the Vietnam War. He married Lynn Latham on January 5, 1969. Danny worked for Eli Lilly in Clinton, Indiana for 36 years before retiring. In his free time, Danny enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, camping, tinkering in his garage and working on cars. He especially loved his dogs and his coffee.
Danny is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Thomas; and son, Darin Thomas. Survivors include his son, Dan (Carrie) Thomas of Denver, Colorado; brothers, Steve (Sharon) Thomas of Brazil, Billy Thomas of Ocala, Florida; sister, Becky (Dana) Montgomery of Ocala, Florida; grandson, Aidan Thomas; daughter-n-law, Lori Thomas of Indianapolis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City.
