David “Jack” Brown, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Hudsonwood at Brazil. He was born on December 21, 1937 in Cory, Indiana to the late William J. Brown and Eunice (Moberly) Collins. Jack attended Greencastle High School, and served his country in the United States Navy. He married Etta Darlene Green on May 15, 1959. Jack worked for Lonestar Concrete and retired from Hercules in Terre Haute.

In his early years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jack loved mowing his grass, and driving his pickup truck, as well as spending time with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurie Jill Brown; son, Todd William Brown; granddaughter, Kari Bills; brothers Victor, and William; sisters, Faye, Brenda, Mary and Hameta.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Darlene Brown; son, David (Connie) Brown; daughter, Penny (Randy) Vanatti; sisters, Marilyn Brooks, Linda Foster, and Janice Van Blaricum; grandchildren, Stacy (Greg) Dickison, Aaron (Nicole) Vanatti, Michelle Eldridge; great-grandchildren, Fischer and Emma Dickison, Easton and Alex Vanatti, and Courtney Logue; great-great grandson, Kaiden Singer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating and burial to follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
