Douglas Chrisman Obituary

Douglas Chrisman, 65, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on July 11, 1959 to the late Wayne and Cora (Collins) Chrisman. Doug graduated from West Vigo High School in 1977. He served his country in the United States Navy, and retired after 37 years working at Bemis as a custodian. Doug married Jamie Gerber on November 12, 2004.

Doug loved reading his Bible, and helping people find the Lord. When he wasn’t working, he usually had another project occupying his time but always made time for a break at beer-thirty. In his free time he enjoyed playing guitar, and singing, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Doug was preceded in death by his parents and his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Mabel Gerber, and sister-in-law, Debbie Cox.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Chrisman; sons, Brandon (Katie) McMahon, Lance (Sara) McMahon; sister, Debbie (John) Roskovensky; sisters-in-law, Karen (Eric) Stearley, Janet (Steve) Little, Donna (Jim) Raines, Lisa (Gretta) Childress; and his grand-babies, Luke, Kiersten, Emma, Elijah, Waylon, and Wrenley.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Brandon McMahon officiating and burial to follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
