Genola Nell Scott Hobbs

Nell Loved to study the Holy Scriptures and share her faith with most everyone she met. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1951 and was a member of the Forest Park Brazil Congregation.

She married Gene Raymond Hobbs May 26, 1956 in Hammond, Indiana. They lived in Griffith, Indiana where they raised a family and then they moved to Brazil, Indiana in 1993. She passed away December 10, 2019 at the age of 86 at her home in Brazil.  

Mom was hospitable and a great cook. She loved flowers, gardening and music. As she raised her family, she was happy listening to all three kids and her husband practicing different instruments in different rooms all at the same time…and loved it!

John 5:28, 29 – “Do not be amazed at this for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life”.

We will see her again soon in Jehovah’s promised New World. (Psalm 37: 10,11).

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 14th at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2731 US-40, Brazil, IN 47834, at 4PM. Tony Griffin will officiate.  Moore Funeral Home was entrusted with Nell’s services.
