George Butt, 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at HutsonWood at Brazil. He was born on August 15, 1940 in Clay County to the late John and Goldie (Winn) Butt. George graduated from Staunton High School. He worked at the Indiana Labor Hall for over 30 years before retiring. When George was not working, he was still working. He enjoyed raising goats and cattle. George also spent many hours helping his family. 

George is preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Butt, Everett Butt, Don Butt; and sister, Margaret Myers. Survivors include his brothers, Phillip (Nancy) Butt, John Butt; sisters, Barbara (Gary) Burk, Elsie Wheat, Judy (Bill) Rice; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil has been entrusted with George’s cremation arrangements. The family would like to thank HutsonWood at Brazil for their kindness and compassion in caring for George for many years.
