Helen Mae (Williams) Monnett

Brazil, Indiana

Helen Mae Monnett, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, May 18, 2020 at her home. She was born on September 29, 1936 in Brazil to the late Harold Howard and Eula H. (Butts) Williams. Helen graduated from Brazil High School in 1954, and married Lyle Monnett on December 4th of the same year. She and Lyle were members of the Brazil First Christian Church, where Helen worked as the financial secretary. 

Helen loved spending time outside on her porch, looking at the flowers, hummingbirds, reading devotionals and scripture, as well as chatting about the days gone by. Her favorite pass time was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Monnett.

Daughters: Lyla Beth (Mark) Schmidt, Indianapolis, Indiana

Lisa Helen Kleiber, Brazil, Indiana

Brother: Harold Williams, Brazil, Indiana

Grandchildren: Elle Shannon Kleiber

Carson Dean (Jenna) Kleiber

Several Nieces, Nephews and other extended family

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Ansil Harpold and Pastor Chris Gregg officiating and burial to follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. We will be encouraging social distancing, and limiting the number of visitors in the facility at once.
