Helen Riggs, 94, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville. She was born on January 24, 1930 in Brazil to the late John and Sarah (Whitehead) Reffett. Helen graduated from Brazil High School and later married Leroy Riggs. They were members of the United Pentecostal Church of Brazil.

Helen’s life revolved around her church and church family, she spent her time singing, and reading her Bible. In her free time she played and won Bingo, and loved eating chicken wings from Save-a-Lot. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; her brother, Jack Reffett; sisters Barbara Rightsell, and Ruby Selby.

Survivors include her sisters, Sharon Stanley and Dixie Keith; her caretakers Mike and Debbie Rightsell; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 23, 2024 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with burial to follow at Union Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
