Jacqueline “Jackie” Sue Stephenson, 79, passed away Sunday December 11, 2022 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Monterey, California on August 17, 1943 to the late Delbert and Wanita (Harris) Neese. Jackie graduated from Brazil High School in 1962, and married John Stephenson on July 23, 1976. She worked as a cook at many local restaurants, and also spent several years working in the Clay Community School Corporation.

In her free time she enjoyed cooking, working puzzles, gardening and shopping on QVC. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Neese; and grandson, Michael David Treash.

Survivors include her husband, John Stephenson of Brazil; son, William Johnson of Brazil; daughters, Pam (David) Treash of Brazil, Cassandra “Susie” (Kevin) Eckiss of Brazil; step-sons, Chris (Jamie) Stephenson of Crawfordsville, Rick (Josette) Stephenson of Crawfordsville, Tim (Michelle) Stephenson of Crawfordsville; sister, Nancy Neese of Brazil; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating and burial to follow at Calcutta Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
