James “Rob” Robert McClellan, 63, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Brazil, Indiana on April 30, 1959 to the late Kenneth and Loretta (Walker) McClellan. Rob graduated from Brazil High School in 1977, and attended McLennan Junior College and Indiana State University. He married Sandi Hardey on April 3, 1982. Rob retired from UPS after 34 years as a delivery driver.
In his free time he enjoyed working outside, watching baseball, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Zacharie McClellan; sister, Tedde McClellan; brother-n-law, Larry Dickerson; and his father-in-law, James “Jim” Hardey.
Survivors includes his wife of 40 years, Sandi McClellan of Brazil; sons, Matthew and Kaleb McClellan of Reelsville; brothers, Mike (Janet) McClellan of Brazil, Gary McClellan of Brazil; sister, Terre Dickerson of Brooklet, Georgia; mother-in-law, Audrey Hardey; brother-in-law, Richard (Terri) Hardey of Brazil; sister-in-law, Marsie Dulin of Brazil, Carol (Greg) Brown of Brazil; his cat, Sassy, as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A private graveside service will be held at Clearview Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clay County Humane Society.
