James "Jim" Edward Dean Obituary

James “Jim” Edward Dean, 62, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born on November 27, 1959 in Greencastle to the late Howard and Mary (Stewart) Dean. Jim attended North Putnam High School and graduated in the class of 1978. He married Kimberly Fox on November 5, 1983. Jim worked for the City of Cloverdale, Putnam County Highway, and Lear. In his free time, Jim attended auto racing and car shows. He was an avid wood worker and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. 

Jim is preceded in death by his brother, William “Breezy” Dean. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Kimberly Dean of Brazil; son, Camden Dean of Evansville; daughters, Candace (Scott) Alexander of Greencastle, Keena Butler of Brazil; brother, Leslie “Buster” Dean of Roachdale; sisters, Dorothy Wells, Peggy McFarland, Pat (Mike) Phelps, all of Greencastle; grandchildren, Samara Alexander, Everett Alexander, Payton Butler, Triston Butler, Skylar Butler; sister-n-law, Maria Dean Clodfelter of Greencastle; family friend, DeVon Brown of Evansville; dogs, Sophia, Moe, Fitu; as well as several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. 

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil has been entrusted with Jim’s cremation arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
