James “Jim” Richard McCullough, 78, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Jim was born on July 3, 1942 in Saline City to the late Earl and Glen Janice (Thomas) McCullough. He was a 1960 graduate from Clay City High School. Following graduation, Jim joined the Army National Guard. On December 30, 1970, Jim married the love of his life, Maxine (Yarde) McCullough.
Jim owned and operated his own trucking business and was leased to Log Cabin Coal Company for 32 years. He also worked for Shan mine, American Ag, and Red Top Rentals where he retired from in 2006. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching westerns and racing. He would do anything for anyone and never met a stranger.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; Earl and Glen Janice (Thomas) McCullough.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years; Maxine McCullough of Center Point, son; Jamie McCullough of Center Point, daughter; Angie (Ted) Tyron of Center Point, brother; Robert (Barbara) McCullough of Jasper, grandchildren; Taylor (John) Laycock of Bowling Green, Tristen Malone of Bowling Green, Devon Malone of Clay City, Drew Tryon of Center Point, great-grandchild; Maxen Laycock, his beloved pup; Willy, as well as several extended family members and friends.
Moore Funeral Home in Brazil has been entrusted with Jim’s cremation arrangements.
