Jean Lynette (Elder) Garrigus

Jean Lynette Garrigus, 81, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at Vermillion Convalescent Center in Clinton. She was born in Clay County on November 28, 1942 to the late Gene and Lillian (Garrigus) Elder. Jean graduated from Staunton High School in the Class of 1960 and earned her Master’s Degree in Social Studies Education from Indiana State University.

In her free time she enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Jean is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 8, 2024 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor John Pierce officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
