Brazil, Indiana

Jerry “Peach” Bruer, 72, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at his home. He was born on April 10, 1949 in Brazil to the late Charles and Ruth (Lowdermilk) Bruer. Jerry graduated from Brazil High School in 1967 and served his country in the United States Army, as well the National Guard. He worked  at Glen-Gary until they shut their doors and retired as a painter for Bemis after over 20 years of service. Jerry married JoAnn Riddell on June 19, 2004, he enjoyed taking trips on his Harley or in his BMW and spending time with his family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Bruer, sister, Barbara “Jenny” Burger; brother-in-law, John Burger; sister-in-law, Roberta Hutchison; and son-in-law, Ron Pierce.

    Sons:    Jerry Wayne (Tammy) Bruer, Brazil, Indiana

        Anthony Wayne Bruer, Clinton, Indiana

        Jackie L. (Summer) Bruer, Center Point, Indiana

        Brad (Karen) Downing, Greencastle, Indiana

        Shane (Lois) Downing, Brazil, Indiana

    Daughters:    Annette (Rick) Fisher, Brazil, Indiana

            Kimberly (Scott) French, Brazil, Indiana

    Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with Jerry’s cremation arrangements. A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 8:00 P.M. Saturday at Craig Park in Brazil. The family will accept friends from 5:00 until the time of service. Military Honors will be rendered at 6:00 P.M.
