Jerry L. Wright

Jerry L. Wright, 75, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his residence in Brazil surrounded by his family. He was born on April 2, 1945 in Clay County, Indiana to the late Jesse and Betty (Giltz) Wright. Jerry attended Van Buren High School, worked as a truck driver and was also employed at the Putnamville Prison.  Jerry was a Knightsville Town Marshall, and served his country in the United States Army for 22 years. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of New Life Fellowship Church. Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, James Wright; sister, Linda Wright; great-grandsons, Jerry Lee Bennett and Jahred Andrew Garvin.

    Daughters: Angela Callahan, Brazil, Indiana

               Rebecca (Robert) Miller, Rosedale, Indiana

               Brandy (Chris) Head, Brazil, Indiana

    Brother: Leroy (JoAnn) Nelson, Patricksburg, Indiana

    Grandchildren: Brittany (Scott) Bennett, Tamara (Todd) Eaglin, Danielle (Chad) McCurry, Christopher (Samantha) Head, Shelby (Morgan) Garvin, Shania Callahan, Clarissa (Dakota) McMains, Elisha (Jace) Weir, Megan (Kyle) Felty, Kinsey Miller, and Karsyn Stone

    Great-Grandchildren: Nickolas, Brady, Bentley, Aubree, Sophia, Carter, Gunner, Reece, Becca, Kyra, Cole, Preston, Eamon, Alannah, Kolton, Harper, and Grayson

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Monday November 9, 2020 at New Life Fellowship in Seelyville with Pastor Jeff Harpold officiating and burial with military honors to follow at Calcutta Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Monday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
