John Switzer Brattain

John Switzer Brattain, 84, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 in New Port Richey, Florida. John was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 11, 1938 to the late J. Glenn and Virginia S. Brattain. He worked as a Tool and Die maker for over 30 years before opening his own small engine repair shop.

In his free time John enjoyed woodworking, going to the beach, and attending church. His greatest treasure was spending time with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his son, Daren Brattain; and grandson, Kurt Brattain.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Brattain; sons, David Brattain, Michael Brattain, Douglas Brattain, Joseph Price, and Donnie Price; daughters, Leandra Houchin, Diana Schmalz, Cyndi Moore, Chrissy Lawson, Gina Secor, Lenora Shumaker, and Tracy Skinner; 32 grandchildren; as well as 18 great-grandchildren.

Moore Funeral Home in Brazil, Indiana was entrusted with John’s cremation arrangements.
