Joyce I. (Jolliff) Kollmeyer, 82, of Brazil, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at her home with her family close by.
Joyce was born April 10, 1938 to Esther and Fred Jolliff of Odon, Indiana. She graduated from Odon High School. She married George Kollmeyer on September 2, 1962.
Joyce spent most of her life loving and caring for her family, always putting their needs above her own. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a strong, determined, intelligent, and sometimes stubborn woman. Joyce was an avid Elvis Presley fan, and enjoyed his music and movies. Chocolate was her favorite treat, and she was rarely found without a stash of goodies nearby. Joyce loved watching the Indiana Pacers play and rarely missed a game. She was one of the best mushroom hunters around and could sniff out the hardest to find morels. Joyce had many hobbies she enjoyed including playing cards and games with family, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and watching mystery shows on tv.
Joyce will be dearly missed by her husband of 57 years, George, daughters Veronica Wiltsee (Bruce) of Brazil, and Melody Fowler (Jeremy) of Brazil, grandchildren Nicole Farkas (Zac), Tiffany Baker (Justin), BJ Jones (ChCarra), and Greg Jones (Kayla), along with seven great grandchildren, sister Cheryl Jolliff of Indianapolis, and close family friends Gayla Sutherlin, and Rick Cossairt.
She was welcomed into Heaven by her son, Tom, brother Donny Jolliff, sister Dorothy Ragle, as well as her parents.
A celebration of Joyce’s life will be scheduled at a later date, Moore Funeral Home in Brazil was entrusted with her cremation arrangements.
