Joyce Ann (Zimmerman) McDonald

Greencastle, Indiana

Joyce Ann McDonald, 71, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. She was born in Greencastle on December 6, 1949 to the late Otha and Ruth Leah (Myers) Zimmerman. Joyce graduated from Greencastle High School in 1968, and was a branch manager for Riddell National Bank. She and her late husband Bill were foster parents for many years.

She was a member of the Greencastle Christian Church. Joyce enjoyed reading, sewing, working jigsaw puzzles, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She loved spending time with her family. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, William McDonald; son, William McDonald; daughters, Tracy Hagerman and Charlotte Walls; brothers, George, Donald, and John Zimmerman; sister, Barbara Dudley; and brother-in-law, Seth Collins. 

She is survived by her Fiancé, Marlin Bartley of Greencastle; brother, Ronald (Diane) Zimmerman of Greencastle; sister, Patricia Collins of Greencastle; Brother-in-law, Ed Dudley; sister-in-laws, Nila and Ann Zimmerman; grandchildren, Jeffrey S. McDonald, Williams Perry Hagerman, Elaina and Nathan Walls; best friends; Joe (Michelle) Lesko of Greencastle; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Chris Gregg officiating and burial to follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. The family will accept friends for visitation on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greencastle Christian Church Youth Programs (620 Primrose Lane, Greencastle, Indiana 46135).
