Judith Hayes, 87, went to be with her Lord on February 21, 2026 while staying at The Gibson Family Hospice Center. She was born on January 9, 1939 in Stilesville, Indiana to the late Joe and Eilee (Wells) Dunivan. Judy graduated from Stilesville High School in 1957, and married John Hayes on May 7, 1983. They are members of the Good Tidings Tabernacle.

Judy loved her church and church family, she enjoyed hunting, camping, trapping, and shooting archery. She loved spending time with her kids and especially the grandkids. Judy was preceded in death by her sons, Robert and Vernon Cheesman; and her siblings, Joan Jones, Janet Bryson, Larry Dunivan, and Joe Dunivan.

Survivors include her husband John Hayes; sons, Harvey Cheesman, Tim Cheesman, and Joe (Jennifer) Cheesman; Becky Chriswell and Donna Moneymaker; sisters, Marilyn Hayden, Marsha Evans, and Linda Maynard; 13 Grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Calcutta Cemetery with Brother Rocky Owens officiating.
